First Eucharist
Grades 2-5
Through the Sacrament of the Eucharist, we are able to more closely Encounter Christ together and be spiritually fed and strengthened to Live as Disciples in our world.
The Journey
At Prince of Peace, the journey towards the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist takes a minimum of 2 years. All preparation classes, meetings and retreats will be held on campus.If your child has not been Baptized, please refer to the Baptism page for more information. Children and parents’ participation at Mass is expected.

First Year
Year One (POP Families page link) is the foundational year.
- Children must be in at least 1st Grade.
- Children complete one full year of faith formation immediately prior to beginning Year Two.
Second Year
Year Two is the sacrament specific preparation year.
- Children must be in at least 2nd Grade.
- Children continue participating in POP Families formerly Equip Families).
- Children and at least one parent attend all sacrament specific preparation classes, meetings, and 2 retreats which are held on campus and take one semester to complete. Register for one of the semesters: Fall or Winter
- Classes are offered on Tuesdays (Bilingual) or Thursdays (English)
